Loch Laxford Shellfish Ltd
Loch Laxford Shellfish Limited was established in 1985 at Weavers Bay Loch Laxford. From an initial small-scale operation of 45T, it now has three separate farms in different sea lochs.- Loch Inchard has five sites, which collectively produce up to 120 tonnes per year.
- Loch Laxford has four sites collectively producing up to 200 tonnes per year.
- Kylesku (Loch Glendhu has one site which will produce a minimum of 60 tonnes per year from 2007 onwards).
- Due to the remoteness and lack of any pollution the mussels grown by Loch Laxford Shellfish are grade 'A' all year round.
